QC gate
A QC gate is a quality check that work must pass before the next stage can start or the stage can be called complete.
In practice
The classic example is concealed work: electrical and plumbing lines must be inspected before the false ceiling or wall covers them. A gate turns quality from a hope into a rule.
In Pakka
QC checklists ask for photo, measurement and document evidence. Concealed work must pass before what covers it can pass, and a QC pass is what makes the vendor's payment for that work eligible.
