GRN (goods receipt note)
A goods receipt note records what material actually arrived on site against a purchase order: what was received, what was short and what was damaged.
In practice
The GRN is the second leg of checking a bill: what arrived. Site teams often skip it, which is how a firm ends up paying for 40 boxes of tiles when 36 came.
In Pakka
Deliveries are recorded from site on WhatsApp, and bills are matched against the order and the delivery before payment.
