Recce (site measurement)
A recce is the first site visit to measure the space and record its existing conditions before design starts.
In practice
A recce captures room dimensions, beams, columns, windows, levels and existing services. Errors here travel into every drawing and every quantity, so it is worth doing carefully and photographing as you go.
In Pakka
The Design Desk starts the design phases once the recce is done, and every room is photographed before work starts and acknowledged by the client.
